Crookfest, Millfield Football Ground, Crook.

The client who has used our services for many years asked us to provide three marquees for a music event with a variety of rock styles in Crook. They also required a high bar in one of the marquees.

Take their word for it...

"The Wensleydale Show are very pleased to recommend James fletcher marquees and are very pleased with the service we receive. Our field director, David Ford, comments “I find Fletcher's very good to work with. They are attentive, obliging, efficient, and tidy. Also quick to respond to concerns as they arise.”"

"The Cumberland Agricultural Society have used James Fletchers Marquees for the Cumberland Show for many years. The service they provide is very professional and first rate, and nothing is too much trouble. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, from those in the office (who can understand my drawings of marquee layouts!) to the setting up team, they are fantastic to work with."

"Thanks once again to Fletchers Marquees for yet again first class communications, attention to detail specifying our requirements, prompt, efficient erection service, top quality equipment, then yet again the same efficient service when it came to dismantling the site. All this at very, very reasonable rates. See you next year, same place, same time."

Frequently Asked Questions

The size is determined by the number of guests and what else is going into the marquee, such as dance floors, reception areas or exhibitions. We will advise you on what we recommend after we have discussed your requirements.

The cost of the marquee depends on many things, the size, the time of year, the length of hire and travelling costs. We will provide a quotation that takes all these things into consideration.

There is no ‘better’ option, both have their merits. We find that some clients prefer a pole peg marquee for the vintage feel, which is very popular at the moment. The inner poles can be used for additional decoration, flowers, lights etc. The freestanding frame benefits from no internal obstructions and can be used on either grass or hardstandings.

The marquee is normally delivered one or two days before the event depending on the size and internal decoration. This gives time for caterers to set up and for internal decorations and flowers to be put in place.

The marquee is usually collected within a day or two after the event.

It varies but the sooner you book, the better. We are always heavily committed during May – August with annual events, so we get fully booked very quickly during this period. All we require in the early days is an indication of the final number of guests and the date. We then remove your marquee and furniture from our ‘available’ hire stock. A team of erectors are also allocated at this stage.

No, marquees can be used on most surfaces because they can be anchored to the ground or held in place with ballast weights.

The grass should not suffer because of the marquee. It may be a little lighter in colour when the marquee is removed but should soon recover with no lasting damage.

We have a wide range of furniture for hire and have contacts with other furniture suppliers if you are looking for something out of the ordinary.

This is normally done by the client or caterer. We can provide a lay-out suggestion for the marquee but clients and caterers usually work together to decide their preferred option.
